Choose what works for your morning. Shine offers spoken Scripture, personal alarms, and optional paid content. Purchase prices and renewal periods are shown before you confirm a purchase with Apple.
1. About these terms
These terms describe your use of Shine, an iPhone app developed by Yariv Adam, and this website. By using Shine or this website, you agree to the terms that apply to that use. If you do not agree, you should stop using them.
App Store purchases and the app license are also subject to the terms presented by Apple. The applicable App Store license agreement governs your license to the app. Where Apple’s standard agreement applies, you can read the Apple Standard End User License Agreement. These terms supplement that agreement and do not override it.
2. Using the app and its content
You may use Shine and the content you can access for your personal, lawful use, subject to the applicable license and purchase terms. Some verse packs require a purchase or an active subscription; current options are shown in the app.
The app, its design, photographs, recordings, and other materials are owned by their respective rights holders. Bible translations may have their own copyright and usage conditions. Access through Shine does not grant permission to resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit those materials. Any sharing feature remains subject to applicable content rights.
Do not misuse the app, attempt to bypass purchase restrictions, or interfere with its operation.
3. Alarms, device settings, and availability
Alarm delivery depends on your device, iOS, permission settings, alarm configuration, and system volume. Check your setup and use a backup alarm for time-critical commitments. Shine is not an emergency or safety-critical alert service.
Some functions, including purchase validation and restoration, require an internet connection and the availability of Apple or other service providers. Features and compatibility may change as the app and iOS evolve. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation.
4. Purchases and subscription renewals
Prices, billing periods, available content, and any eligible introductory offer are shown in Shine and in Apple’s purchase confirmation. Your Apple Account is charged when you confirm a purchase, subject to the terms shown by Apple.
Paid subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. The renewal price and billing period are shown with your subscription. Any trial or introductory offer applies only when displayed and only if you are eligible. Changes to price or subscription terms are handled through the applicable App Store process.
Restoring access uses the Apple Account that made the original purchase. Use Restore Purchases in Shine if you need to recover eligible access. A subscription provides its included access while it remains active; any separate one-time purchase follows the terms shown for that purchase.
5. Cancellation and refunds
Manage or cancel a subscription in iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Shine. Cancel before the next renewal if you do not want another charge. If an offer states an earlier cancellation deadline, follow that deadline. Deleting the app or emailing us does not cancel your subscription.
See Apple’s cancellation instructions. Refund requests for App Store purchases are handled by Apple under its applicable policies and your consumer rights. See Apple’s refund instructions.
6. Privacy and third-party services
Our Privacy Policy explains local storage, analytics, purchases, and support messages. Apple, Google Firebase, RevenueCat, and any other service you choose to use have their own applicable terms and privacy practices. Links on this website may lead to those services.
7. Your rights
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the app and website are provided as available, without additional warranties beyond those required by law or stated in the applicable license agreement.
Nothing in these terms excludes a warranty, remedy, or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, or limits your mandatory consumer rights. The applicable App Store license and local law govern any further limitations of liability.
8. Changes and contact
We may update these terms to reflect changes to Shine or applicable requirements. The latest version and update date will appear here. Where a material change requires notice or agreement, we will follow the applicable requirements. Changes do not remove rights that apply to purchases already made.
